Over the course of the last century, humanity has advanced in ways past generations could only have dreamed of. Experience has taught us that freedom, rather than force, is the key to both personal and collective prosperity. Nations across the world have begun to throw off the shackles of tyranny, and embrace democracy. Political leaders, once distrustful of their subjects, have now lifted restrictions and regulations that previously discouraged personal creativity and collective innovation. Liberty and equality before the law now form the foundation of almost every modern civilization, and it is universally accepted that individuals, when left to their own designs, are capable of infinite potential.
As we enter a new age of growth and opportunities, it is paramount that we elect leaders capable of dealing with the dynamic challenges that face our nation’s future in ways that not only guarantee a better today, but ensures an even better tomorrow. It is for this purpose, that Conservative Congress was created.
Conservative Congress seeks to protect liberty and foster innovation by supporting candidates that are committed to the following:
The Constitution requires that the Federal Government provide for the general welfare through the application of express and well-delineated powers. Congressional spending on anything else constitutes nothing less than legal plunder. Conservative Congress supports candidates who oppose misappropriation of national funds, such as corporate bailouts or state subsidies, and who are committed to balancing the federal budget.
Abolishment of The Federal Income Tax
For nearly a century, the federal income tax has created a profound disconnect between the federal and state governments, provided an opportunity for otherwise sincere and well-intentioned politicians to abuse congressional spending in ways that have repeatedly brought our nation’s economy to its knees, and resulted in the creation of numerous inefficient and wasteful social agencies and programs that have only weakened our nation’s integrity. Conservative Congress supports candidates committed to repealing and abolishing the federal income tax, thereby restoring discourse between the federal and state governments, and imposing a greater degree of scrutiny on congressional spending.
Preserving the Sanctity of Life
In certain rare and tragic circumstances, such as when the life of the mother would otherwise be threatened, abortion is necessary. In all other cases, it is infanticide. Like slavery, Abortion is a blight on the American soul. Conservative Congress supports candidates committed to fighting for the lives of the unborn.
De-Regulation of Federal Programs
In an ever growing and changing world, it is important that the administration of social programs be kept under the exclusive control of state and local governments. Conservative Congress supports candidates who are committed to de-regulating and dismantling wasteful federal social agencies and programs. Specifically, Conservative Congress supports candidates who seek to dismantle the Department of Education and Social Security, by and through constructive reforms, and who firmly oppose the expansion of federal control over our nation’s healthcare industry.
De-Regulation and/or Reform of Domestic Energy and Natural Resources
Rapid changes in science and technology require adaptive regulations that are best administered by and through state governments. Conservative Congress supports candidates who are committed to eliminating federal control and regulation of state resources, thereby allowing state governments the freedom to create a political climate friendly and conducive to innovation.
